Introduction

Emotional and psychological issues have been regarded as a taboo in our society. It’s been considered that this is just a make belief thing by people who are suffering from it, or they are just making it up or it’s not an issue to be considered important or being valued. Mental and emotional health is not being viewed as an important issue as much as the physical health and well being is valued.

According to a survey report, 300 million people are experiencing depression globally. Suicide is the second leading cause of death among people between the age group of 10 to 34.

Issues like stress, depression, anxiety, PTSD, OCD, schizophrenia, issues related to personality and many other psychological issues are effecting major part of our population.

Children are also being effected by many of the emotional and psychological issues which includes Intellectual Disability, Autism, ADHD, Communication Disorders, Childhood Depression, stubbornness, aggression, stammering etc.

Individual Adult Therapy

Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP)

Intensive Outpatient Program is a structured program of outpatient psychiatric services. It can employed be as an alternative to inpatient psychiatric care and also can help with recovery after an inpatient treatment. The program runs during the day and doesn’t require an overnight stay. It can provide most of the benefits of inpatient treatment in a less restrictive setting. The program includes medication management, individual, group and family therapy. IOP also help the transition between inpatient psychiatric treatment and outpatient follow up care.

Helping children with special needs

There are multiple issues a differently abled child or person faces that majorly includes emotional issues as well. It is nothing but true that the caregivers and families of those people who are suffering from any disability either be it a physical one or a psychological issue suffer from emotional distress.

A recent study in US found that adults with disabilities report experiencing more mental distress than those without disabilities. In 2018, an estimated 17.4 million (32.9%) adults with disabilities experienced frequent mental distress.

We offer our services by:

  • Social skills trainings and other modalities of psychotherapy to people who have IQ issues.
  • Conducting workshops and seminars for the teachers and helpers who are working with differently abled people so that they can understand about their emotional issues as well.

Demystifying Therapies

Cognitive – Behavioral Therapy, often known as CBT is evidence based approach which works with one’s negative thoughts and perceptions. It helps reframing the thoughts which brings change in maladaptive behaviors. Our consultants are trained with culturally adapted CBT, which is developed specifically according to our cultural norms and values.

Marital/Family Therapy deals with the day-to-day conflicts between couples and family. It is a multidimensional approach where treatment is tailored to the individual or couple’s/family’s need per se. It works on core values, beliefs, communication patterns and underlying generational functioning.

Hypnotherapy and Neuro-Linguistic Programming NLP is a Psychoanalytic approach, which is growing day-by-day by its proven evidence based results. It is a type of therapy which uses guided relaxation, intense concentration, and focused attention to achieve a heightened state of awareness. It is effective to improve one’s bodily functions and psychological responses.it is used to help patients who are mentally disturbed or have behavior problems to function at higher levels, live fuller and richer lives and be able to give more of themselves to their society.

Substance-Use

Substance-Use is a universal phenomenon. The common use substances in our society are betel (pan), Betel nut (chaliya/gutka), cigarettes, weed, ice, heroin, cocaine etc., which are available under various names in the market. Take away bit is to know that it is treatable with life changing results (with individual variations).

Our Substance Abuse Program is a structured program that includes medication management, individual, group and family therapy. We use Motivational interviewing (MI), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavioral therapy (DBT). This program can help the transition between inpatient treatment and outpatient follow up care.
